There are 81 volumes and one box of papers which record the operation of the waterfront warehouse complex of the Pierrepont Stores; ledgers and property conveyance records concerning real estate investments in Brooklyn Heights; and papers, documents and news clippings relating to the operation of ferries between New York and Brooklyn. Also included are the diaries of Henry Evelyn Pierrepont, 1877-1888; architectural plans of the Pierrepont Stores, 1857, and family residence at 1 Pierrepont Place, 1856; and miscellaneous documents, articles, and papers which describe the social and cultural activities of this prominent Brooklyn family.
